Internet-Delivered Content & Applications in Rural, Remote & Underserved Areas
Developing sustainable rural wireless broadband infrastructure faces a major challenge in offering reliable, high-speed internet access at an affordable price. In meeting this need, TLW has introduced the EdgeNet Hybrid Wireless Network; a groundbreaking collection of products, applications, and software that enables cost-effective and dependable internet access.
The EdgeNet wireless concept is centered on utilizing cutting edge wireless technology and seamlessly integrating it with advanced telecom and data handling/storage systems to create a fully cohesive network that includes internet access, backhaul transport and distribution.

The Villiage Access Point
The cornerstone of the EdgeNet Wireless Concept is the TLW Village Access Point (VAP), an innovative subscriber connection device intended to provide low-cost and reliable “last-foot” end-user Wi-Fi access from an EdgeNet Wireless Network.
VAP is intended for applications where the cost of deploying Enterprise-level wireless solutions is cost prohibitive. This includes rural remote and underserved locations in developing countries. EdgeNet systems are linked by the lowest cost best available routing, including satellite, to provide reliable connectivity from virtually anywhere in the world.
The Rosebud Sioux Project
Statistically and historically, many native American reservations within the United States have poor telecommunications infrastructure. This not only includes a lack of high-speed internet access, but also extends to poor marginal telephone and cellular service.
The TLW Network Program addresses this need by providing a unique solution, including advanced technology, low-cost, wireless networks, and meaningful content application and services to marginalized or underserved reservation locations.
